Our Story
Tight5 started with a collective idea. that there isn't an off-season option for certain athletes to excel in their specialized craft. For props, hookers, and locks (known as the tight five) the responsibility of set piece can seem daunting as its such a critical part of the game. whether you are new to the sport, new to the position, or just trying to strengthen your rugby IQ and toolbox, the tight5 clinic offers possibilities to bring as many individuals as possible together, with the aid of a stellar coaching staff and helpful instructors, to elevate the skill level of scrummaging and lineouts through controlled and guided activities.

Meet The Team
Tight5 coaching staff have several years experience coaching at multiple levels across ontario. We recognize that scrummaging and lineout skills are a pivotal factor in the development of a young rugby player, both in the attempt to further their career path in the sport as well as achieving an ability to remain safe during a long rugby career
Michael Sabourin
Founder & Coach

"One of the biggest benefits to this development clinic is the sense of confidence. Not only for a parent to be watching their child participate in areas of the game that may seem dangerous or scary, but actually the confidence of that athlete to involve themselves and be a leader for future programs based on their experience and nurtured skillset.
All of the coaches involved are wonderful human beings that are extremely invested in the improvement of the sport through youth engagement. This experience is a great step towards a safe, enjoyable, and hopefully long athletic career as a rugby player."
